I am a CNRS researcher (Chargé de recherche) interested in studying variation in biodiversity from an evolutionary perspective. I use probability and numerical computing to develop phylogenetic models from evolutionary hypotheses and perform inference on empirical data.

Postdoctoral researcher

I am a postdoctoral researcher broadly working on studying morphological evolution and diversification dynamics, with a specific interest in avian evolution. Specifically, the evolution of flight performance and flight-related morphologies through time and their impact on the modern radiation of birds and interspecific competition with species such as pterosaurs.

Doctoral researcher

I graduated from ESPCI Paris PSL and Sorbonne University, master Automatism Robotics : Intelligent Systems Engineering. I joined the lab in January 2026 or a PhD supervised by Ignacio and advised by Hélène in the context of the ERC project PlankDiv. The goal is to speed up the inference of diversification rates using machine learning methods.

Currently a Master’s student in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology at the University of Montpellier, I would like to specialize in the study of macroevolutionary processes. I am interested in the development and implementation of models based on phylogenies, particularly for inferring macroevolutionary rates. Beyond understanding the dynamics of clade diversification, I would like to integrate biotic and abiotic variables into these approaches in order to test evolutionary scenarios and better understand the origin of biodiversity patterns.

Visiting researcher

My research interests are mainly centred around evolutionary biology and the fundamental understanding of nature and how life evolves. I am currently investigating the connections between micro- and macroevolution by studying phenotypic evolution across different timescales through various modelling approaches.

About my interests, I really appreciate developing software / packages for the use of science (related to biology in any way that can be), bioinformatics but not really into analyses. Otherwise, things that are not related to science but I still love are traditional Asian culture and history in general !
